Vijay Gupta started Honest in Ahmedabad with one conviction: fresh food, quality ingredients, no compromises. The loyal crowds around that cart built everything that followed.
From Gujarat to the World
Honest grew from Gujarat to Thailand, Australia, and Canada on the strength of its food alone — long before it ever set foot in the United States.
The Honest Kitchen
Nothing frozen, nothing pre-made. Every dish is cooked to order — the founding rule Vijay Gupta set in 1975 that every Honest kitchen still follows.
A Menu Without Borders
Most Indian restaurants choose a region; we chose them all. From south Indian dosas and idli to Mumbai's pav bhaji and dabeli, Gujarati chaat, and fiery Indo-Chinese creations — and not a single dish contains meat, ever.
